(8 Goals 9 Assists, Chris provided an offensive spark that carried Strange Brew to a 7-3 record)
Duane Noel--Brew Crew
(6-3-0-1, 1 shutout, with a 2.70 GAA, Duane backstopped a leaky Brew Crew defense into the A league finals)

Cadet Division
Sam Passaingia scored the game winning goals in both of Maroons victories in the inaugural Cadet Season.

Beaver Division
Joseph Powell scored two goals and added an assist as Biscayne defeated Gray 5-3.

Penguin Division [7-9]
Michael Manski scored four goals in both games for Biscayne in defeating Gray 6-5 and Maroon 10-5 to seize the lead in the Penguin Division scoring race.

High School:Gold wins their championship. Player of the Week Honors has to be split for the offensive production of Tyler Wagner and shut down defensive skills of Rick Macioce between the pipes. Tyler had a Hat Trick in the finals and Ricky recorded his 4th shut out of the season. Congrats to both.

Murrysville Dek Hockey and Murrysville Inline Hockey Spring Sessions

Registrations are now being taken for the very popular Spring Session, which will begin with the draft on February 24th and 25th, with the season to begin on Friday February 26th. The Murrysville Dek Hockey Inline Spring Session will begin on March 15th at Center Ice Arena and we are running a special up until the Murrysville Dek Hockey Draft to participate in BOTH programs for 149.99 [Regular Cost will be $ 75 for Dek Hockey and $ 85 for Inline Hockey]. Participants in the program from East Allegheny, Franklin Regional, Gateway, Greensburg Salem, Hempfield, Jeannette, Kiski, Latrobe, Leechburg, McKeesport, Norwin, Penn Hills, Penn Trafford, Pine Richland, Plum, Hampton, Valley, Mt Pleasant, West Mifflin and Woodland Hills School Districts are participating in the program. All leagues (ROLLER BALL, ROLLER PUCK, and INDOOR DEK) must have their league registration and rosters in by Wednesday MARCH 10. Rosters can not be changed after the 3rd game of the regular season. Early Bird Special ends Sunday February 28th. Starting March 1 league fee is $1000 per team.

SportZone is proud to announce Inline Puck Leagues at Center Ice in Delmont
SportZone invites you to participate in our AAU Inline Hockey activities for youth and adult players. Registrations are being taken for both teams and individuals for Adult & Youth leagues. Cost is $1000 per team ($850 early-bird bonus if paid before 2/21/09) or $125 an individual. Individuals will need to attend an evaluation session before being placed on a team. Cadet Divison
The Cadet Vegas squad picked up their first win with a 7-4 victoey over Biscayne. Andrew Brncic and Jason Haines scored two goals each and Santino Birty added five assists for Vegas. Matt Rihn and Michael Bazzone scored two each for Biscayne.
Maroon is making a habit of winning close games already in Cadet action. Sam Passalingia scored his 2nd game winner in two weeks with 15 seconds to go in the 2nd period for Maroon. Ian Kirkpatrick added a pair of goals as well. Brett Trottier and Mitch Kokal scored for Purple.
Beaver Divison
Beaver Jade and Vegas battled to a 3-3 tie on Friday. Nathan Mickey scored two goals for Jade and Karsten Worley added another. Jake Stackiewicz, Nicco Caruso and Nathan Bateman scored for Vegas.
White defeated Orange 5-1 in Beaver action. Andrew White scored a hat trick for White and Jared Milstein added a goal and two assists.
Biscayne continued its winning ways in Beaver action with a 5-3 win over Gray. Zach BAuerle and Joseph Powell scored two goals each for Biscayne. Ryan Remaley scored a pair of Gray
Red skunked Black 7-0 to move to 2-0 on the Regular Season. Ryan Collette scored four times and Anthony Massetto earned the shutout for Red.
Beaver Gold and Blue battled to a 3-3 tie on Saturday. Justin Lewis, Maxx Mastermonico and Jack Painter scored for Blue. Tyler Stevenson, Dylan Damien and Seth Shoup scored for Gold.
Navy picked up their 2nd win by edging Green 3-2. Gavin Patrick scored twice and Tyler Bosack added a goal for Navy. Ryan Soloman and Brian Hallested scored for Green.
Beaver Jade rebounded in the game against Vegas with a 7-1 win, Karsten Worley scored four times and James Young, Nathan Mickey and Dominic DeBone scored for Jade.
Penguin Divison
Penguin White outlasted Gray 8-5. Vinnie Passante scored four times and John White added three more for White. Austin Lapiana scored four goals for Gray.
Purple won for the second time with a 5-3 win over Orange. A.J. Adamski scored the hat trick and Ryan Zavolta added two more for Purple. Jayda Mears scored twice for Orange.
Biscayne and Gray played a see-saw affair at the Dek on Sunday and Biscayne held on for a 6-5 win. Michael Manski scored four goals and Alex Turwski added two for Biscayne. Austin Lapiana scored all five goals for Gray.
Adam Stasko earned a shutout for Cyber, but it was Jade goaltender Eric Petika who made several outstanding saves to keep Jade in the game as Cyber prevailed 3-0. Mikey Evans, Mason Smith and Cameron Kutchak scored for Cyber.
Biascayne turned up the offense and never looked back defeating Maroon 10-5. Michael Manski scored four goals, Ethan Carr added three more and Danny Neumann added three assists for Biscayne. Nick Pushic and Kevin Cakanac scored two goals each for Maroon.
Green’s Mitchell DeBiase scored a hat trick and Nick Nuzzo added four assists as Green turned back Red 5-1.
Black unleashed a wicked offensive outburst in defeating Blue 7-4. Aide Wiley scored four times and Bobby Kusinsky added three more for Black. Auston Kranick had a hat trick for Blue.
Vegas and Gold battled to a 2-2 deadlock in the late game. Jacob Sepe and Conner Helm scored for Vegas and Tyler Ramus and Luke Russman scored for Gold.

(The Toilet Kickers grabbed a 1 goal lead early in the contest and tried to hold on. Their defensive strategy worked until playoff sensation Garee realized he had not yet made his presence known. Garee netted his goal midway through the 3rd and then Egnatz took over. Eggy scored the next 2 goals, including an empty netter to seal the deal)
7:00 Turtles 1 vs. D-Hawks 2 GAME 3
(The Turtles players must have been expecting to get swept because they forgot to show up for game 3. Despite the paltry turnout, the Turltes played hard spirited hockey and almost upended the powerful D-Hawks. Andy Virostek snuck a long one past goaltender Dininno, but the netminder was able to shut the door on the other Turtles for the rest of the game)
8:00 Brew Crew 5 vs. D-Hawks 4 OT
(Brew Crew played sloppy defensive hockey, but was still able to put together 6 minutes of dazzling play to win the game. Down 4-2, Brew Crew's Zach Fennstemaker woke up. Zach sparked a huge comeback which led to the Crew tying the game and Billy Hohman piping a wrister within the first minute of the OT)
9:00 Lady Gaga 4 vs. Maz-Ville 7 GAME 2
(Maz-Ville-10, Lady Gaga-5. That was not the score, but the number of players that showed for each team. Maz-Ville forced a game three by forcing the Gagas into exhaustion. Billy Hohman netted 2 goals for the Ville and overshadowed a hat trick by Kraly in a losing effort. Game 3 of the finals is Thursday night....tune in for fireworks!)
